Call for Papers
Dear colleague,
considering your research in related areas, you are cordially invited to submit your papers to the
International Journal of RF Technologies: Research and Applications
The
International Journal of RF Technologies: Research and Applications (IJRFT) is edited by IOS Press, and is an international peer-reviewed journal, which publishes original research, case studies or review papers related to the application of RFID tecnologies to business processes, in several industries. The journal is endorsed by the Global RF Lab Alliance (GRFLA), a network of RFID Labs operating wordwide. With the increasing interest in RFID technology,
the members of GRFLA welcome new RFID research centers to join the alliance, up to a maximum size of 20 members. New members are expected to participate actively in the research activities and to financially support their own involvement, although joining the GRFLA does not require an annual fee. Both academics and industrial labs will be considered. To demonstrate their research activity toward RFID technology, the proponents should have at least two papers published (or awaiting for publication) on the
IJRFT.
Papers submitted to IJRFT by a member of GRFLA wil be subject to a simplified and quick review process.
AIM AND SCOPE
IJRFT will establish a forum for exchanging information and research results regarding RFID technology deployment, data analytics, and business value creation. For technology deployment, articles should focus on how to deploy the technology to ultimately create business value. Potential technologies that will be covered in the journal include RFID, Real time location sensing (RTLS), Near-field communication (NFC), and RF-based sensors. For data analytics, the journal will publish articles that focus on how and where to capture the data (e.g. real-time, at the device, on the server etc.), present approaches for finding patterns in the data which may reveal process anomalies or areas for improvement, and examine the development and use of software related to RFID technologies. Ultimately, all articles should have a clear link to the creation of business value. Business value is taken in its broadest context as the management, operational or supporting set of linked activities that create value by transforming an input into a more valuable output. It can thus be transferred to different industries or different business functions, including retail, aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, public administration and logistics providers, among others.
